Family Day is a day designated to celebrate the importance of family and spend quality time with loved ones. This event is very sweet because it emphasizes the value of family time. The family day experience was very enjoyable. The day started with me going to school very early to practice. My team, the gold team, still had a lot to do. This included finalizing props and costumes and
perfecting the dance for the dance palabas later in the afternoon.
The masks we made were pretty scary, we tried to scare little kids with them. Unfortunately, not a lot of children were there considering it was still early. Hands were all colored with red and when you entered the room, the floor and wall had visible traces of red paint. All of us were sweating and nervous for the dance later. Some of our masks even broke due to sweat.
As the family day started, families from different grades were participating in games. Then came singing and dancing from different teams. They all sang beautifully! Each voice was unique. Then came the elementary department to perform their dance. My team was the first to present in the JHS department. I was very nervous, but I'm glad it was finally over. I was amazed at everyone’s performance. All had their own concepts and were original. All the effort really paid off. The day came to an end, I hope the next family day will be better.
