FAMILY DAY ‘24

We had our family day last Sunday, on April 28, 2024. Personally for me, it was the best family day in all of my years I’ve stayed in ACT. I think because it was a bit different than past family day events. As a graduating student, this year’s family day was most memorable from start to finish. 

Before the actual event, the school hosted activities catered for family bonding such as, zumba, sports competitions, and bingo. My dad played ML for the preliminary games and was able to reach championships. The bingo was fun as well, it was super tense as everyone wanted to win the main cash prize. Through these activities, we were able to support each other and although we didn’t get to win some of the games, it definitely built the connection through teamwork and support.

On the event itself, it started with the mass and it was hard finding a seat because all the seats were practically taken. At the end, we all went to our designated areas and the Family day eventually started. The Family got Talent was very memorable, my friend Lady and her family were the ones to perform for the competition and won 1st place for it! Personally and not to be biased, but among the others their performance really stood out. 

Overall, the family day was very fun. I got to spend quality time with my family as my parents are usually busy so having them joining this event with me really made my day. I was able to make memories and a build a better bond with my family and even though it wasn’t much im glad I got to spend it with my loved ones. The family day serves as a lesson for us to build healthy relationships within the family for a supportive family environment. 🩷
